GROOMR.io ("the Service") is operated by Hollywood Homes LLC ("we", "us", "our"). We act as the data controller for personal data processed through the Service.

2. Personal data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), phone number.
• Profile and pet data: contact details, pet names, breeds, vaccination dates, grooming notes, photos you upload.
• Booking and usage data: appointments, messages, check-ins, redemptions.
• Support data: messages and attachments you send us.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, log data, cookies.

Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. We do not store full card numbers.

3. Why we use your data and legal basis

• Provide the Service (contract): account creation, bookings, messaging, photo storage.
• Security and fraud prevention (legitimate interests): protecting accounts and infrastructure.
• Customer support (contract / legitimate interests): responding to your requests.
• Product improvement and analytics (legitimate interests): improving usability and reliability.
• Legal compliance (legal obligation): tax, accounting, responding to lawful requests.

4. Who we share data with

• Paddle.com Market Ltd — our Merchant of Record for all orders. Paddle processes payments, subscription management, billing, sales tax, invoicing, refunds, and chargebacks.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers — for application hosting, database, storage, and email delivery.
• Professional advisers — legal, accounting, and tax advisers under confidentiality.
• Authorities — where required by law or to protect our rights.

5. International transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country of residence, including in the United States and the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

6. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, to comply with legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. Account data is retained for the life of your account and deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period after account closure. Transaction records are kept for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent.
